CEFC soundtracks BBC's Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics trailer
Crouch End Festival Chorus is proud to feature in the BBC’s new official trailer for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, now airing across BBC platforms in the run-up to the Winter Olympics.
CEFC on the Olympic stage
The trailer, titled Trails Will Blaze, showcases winter athletes against dramatic stop-motion landscapes of the Dolomites, set to a powerful new arrangement of Verdi’s Requiem. The soundtrack is taken from a live recording at the Royal Albert Hall, performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Chorus and Crouch End Festival Chorus under conductor Sakari Oramo.
From Proms to prime time
The recording comes from the First Night of the BBC Proms 2022, when CEFC joined the BBC Symphony forces for a roof-raising performance of Verdi’s Requiem that opened the Proms season. Highlights from that night now provide the musical backdrop to one of the BBC’s most ambitious Olympic campaigns, bringing CEFC’s sound to millions of viewers as anticipation builds for Milano Cortina 2026.
