Crouch End Festival Chorus is proud to announce a major new commission by acclaimed composer Robin Haigh, premiering at Cadogan Hall in April 2026.

TEARFLOODS is an ambitious, innovative work for chorus and amplified ensemble that explores the ocean’s past, present, and imagined future – blending themes of sea, science fiction, climate change, and futurology.

Robin Haigh’s TEARFLOODS promises a unique musical journey with influences from metal, electronica, pop, jazz, and experimental music alongside a traditional choral setting.

Featuring a wordless chorus and an amplified ensemble including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trombone, harp, percussion, electric guitar, sampling keyboard, and strings, this piece creates an immersive sound world balancing accessibility with artistic depth.
