PROKOFIEV: Alexander Nevsky
STRAVINSKY: Symphony of Psalms
ARVO PÄRT: Credo

Jean RigbyOur latest big, buzzy Barbican concert. Prokofiev's popular cantata is based on his exciting score for the landmark Eisenstein film of the same name. Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms is rated by many (including CEFC conductor David Temple) as one of the greatest works from the 20th Century. Arvo Pärt's extraordinary Credo moves from calm to chaos and back again - quoting a lovely Bach prelude as its starting and finishing points.

Guest soloist Jean Rigby is a regular at Glyndebourne and has appeared with ENO and the Royal Opera.
